Philosophy of Project Carribean Horse

Man and horse bonded and worked side-by-side for centuries. If it were not for the horse, man may have never survived through the ages. Horse provided man transportation, a means to cultivate fields for food, recreation and many other activities. Horses' spirit was pure--he would work to death to serve man. The smart man quickly learned that if he didn't properly care for horse then horse would break down and not be able to work. Horse and man had to work together for both to prosper and survive. Horse and man need the same things to survive. Both need food, water, shelter, sleep and the company of each other.

It is this bond between horse and man working together in harmony that is the magic between them. Man is to this day still attracted to horse. There is nothing more awesome and beautiful then a happy horse and rider galloping across a big open sandy beach and blue ocean romping and playing together. It is this awesome moment that every person would love to experience. But the experiences needs to be right. It needs to be such a positive experience that the visitor will come back to experience it again and tell his friends to come as well.

For this experience to be positive, the horse, the riding environment and the guides need to be in happy harmony with the right qualities: healthy, well cared for horses and a considerate, knowledgeable guide. When all is right, everyone benefits--the horse, the rider, the horse provider, cruise ships and the tourism business all win and prosper.

It is the goal of Project Carribean Horse to help provide and promote this experience by providing proper education, horse care instruction and materials, training for guides and horse providers, enhancement and improvement of riding trails, and basic horse riding instruction for customers.
